The Truro Historical Society (THS) in collaboration with the Mashpee Wampanoag tribe, the National Park Service, Friends of the Cape Cod National Seashore, and under the direction of Wampanoag Tribal Leader Annawon Weeden, a wetu will be constructed at the Highland House Museum, Highland Light Road, North Truro.
Saturday, June 3, at 10 AM at the Highland House Museum, THS will host a dedication ceremony for the completion of the wetu. As part of the ceremony, the Wampanoag Singers and Dancers will perform. In addition, a Native foods vendor and a Wampanoag arts and crafts fair will also be on site. All events are free.
