Activities

The Friends of the Cape Cod National Seashore financially supports a full summer season of free activities from concerts to lectures.  Evening programs & concerts are presented at the Salt Pond Visitor Center in Eastham. Music events have ranged from original bluegrass, modern folk, Americana to classical offerings by the Outer Cape Chorale. Guest speakers have included noted science and nature experts from shark specialist Dr. Greg Skomal to bird expert Mark Faherty, Science Coordinator at MA Audubon Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. The Friends also sponsors an annual science symposium “Science in the Seashore” and a winter film series at Salt Pond Visitor Center.
