Join Us in Supporting the Seashore: Volunteer Opportunities Now Open
The Friends of Cape Cod National Seashore thrives thanks to supporters who care deeply about protecting and enhancing this treasured place. As our work grows, we’re seeking volunteers to help strengthen our outreach, communications, and community connections. Consider joining one of our committees—Community Engagement, Communications, or Development—which meet once a month or more as needed for specific projects. There are also immediate, independent volunteer projects ready for support, perfect for those looking for flexible, hands-on ways to get involved.
Community Engagement Committee
Help expand awareness of our mission and grow membership through this newly formed committee. Members will organize our presence at community events, support outreach activities, and assist with planning programs that connect more people to conservation.
Communications Committee
Support our storytelling and outreach by helping with social media, email communications, photography and video needs, and organizing digital assets. Ideal for volunteers interested in creative communications and message development.
Development Committee
Guide our fundraising and membership efforts by identifying grant opportunities, supporting fundraising event planning, and assisting with major donor outreach. Committee members also partner with the Director of Development on key initiatives.
Flexible Volunteer Projects - Ready for Immediate Support!
Organize our photo library: Help catalog and maintain our digital photo collection featuring landscapes, wildlife, and park programs.
Support handwritten outreach: Assist with handwritten notes, envelope addressing, and light correspondence for member and donor mailings—perfect for at-home volunteering.
Grant support: Assist with research, outreach, and tracking to help identify funding opportunities that advance the Seashore’s mission.
Help build a Business Partnership Program: Support the creation and growth of a program that engages local businesses in meaningful collaboration and support for the organization.
If you’re interested in any of these roles, we’d love to connect. Please send us an email at info@fccns.org.
Thank you for helping the Seashore thrive.
