Successful fundraising relies on each runner’s ability to activate their personal network—including social media followers, email contacts, and community connections—and to creatively engage supporters around their race journey.
Applicants are encouraged to think beyond individual donations and consider event-based fundraising, such as hosting a cocktail reception or dinner for friends with a ticketed entry fee, organizing trivia or game nights, wine/brewery tastings, themed brunches, neighborhood yard sales, or DIY gatherings. Digital strategies—including a personal fundraising page (provided with team entry), email outreach, matching company gifts, milestone-based appeals, and recurring gifts—are also key to building momentum and broad support.
Applicants will be considered for the five-person team based on date of application, thoughtfulness and enthusiasm for fundraising ideas, and the strength and reach of their anticipated fundraising network. Our team fundraising goal for this race is $10,000 – and we know we can reach it with your help and ours in promoting your efforts.
