Bob Prescott has had the great fortune to carefully observe, study, and conserve the nature of Cape Cod throughout his 40-year career. A graduate of UMass with a degree in Wildlife Biology, he started as Education Director at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History and recently retired from 35 years as Sanctuary Director at Mass Audubon’s Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. Prescott will reflect on the changes in wildlife—sea turtles, horseshoe crabs, diamondback terrapins, and more—which are representative of the ecological changes experienced on the Outer Cape as a whole and largely influenced by the National Seashore. He will also look ahead at current and future environmental projects—such as salt marsh and grassland habitat restoration—and species that still need our help.
