National Public Lands Day Volunteer Projects

National Public Lands Day is the largest single-day volunteer effort in America and it celebrates the connection between people and green spaces in their community.  Cape Cod National Seashore invites your support of two projects that need your assistance.

Great Island stairs, Wellfleet: Fight erosion and make someone's hike an easier one by helping to regrade steps and and rehab erosion fabric on the stairs from the Great Island parking lot down to the marsh.
Moore's Road sand fence, Provincetown: Install a new fence in the shifting sands at the edge of Herring Cove Beach on the way into Provincetown to keep it safe and looking ship-shape.
If you are interested in participating in one of these projects, please email CACO_volunteer@nps.gov and emphasize which project you would like to join. You will receive details about meeting location and what to bring (water, sunscreen, etc.), and a National Park Service volunteer agreement to fill out.
