The GroovaLottos are a multi-Grammy nominated soul-funk jam band, and musical production team created by veteran touring and studio session players and singers. Starting as a series of weekly jam sessions, the group quickly rose as a favorite at bars, clubs, events, and festivals throughout New England and the east coast. Said to play with their souls instead of they're hands, they are a funky fellowship of journeymen players who turn every show into a party. A pioneering force in the Thump & Soul sound, The GroovaLottos 2017 release of their album, "Ask Yo' Mama" (Midnight Groove Recordings/Liberation M3), received 4 Grammy nominations for Pop and R&B that year, as well as 2 additional nominations in R&B and Rock for the following year. Weekly, evening programs at Salt Pond Visitor Center are sponsored by Friends of the Cape Cod National Seashore. For outdoor programs held at the Salt Pond Amphitheater, bench and lawn seating are available, picnicking is welcome, and bug spray is suggested. Indoor programs are in the air-cooled auditorium, and doors open at 6:30 pm. Some events are geared toward families. In the event of rain, outdoor programs will be moved indoors unless rain dates are listed.
