Every summer, the Friends of the Cape Cod National Seashore financially supports a full season of free activities from concerts to lectures for the entire family.  Evening programs & concerts are presented at the Salt Pond Visitor Center in Eastham. Music events have ranged from original bluegrass, modern folk, Americana, and more, to classical offerings by the Outer Cape Chorale and “Symphony at the Seashore” with the Cape Symphony Orchestra. Guest speakers have included noted science and nature experts from shark specialist Dr. Greg Skomal to bird expert Mark Faherty, Science Coordinator at MA Audubon Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. Friends also co-sponsors with Park Concessioner Far Land at the Beach, a Summer Concert series at Herring Cove Beach in Provincetown.
