Edward Redonnet & Leslie Smith
Lesley Smith and Edward Redonnet began their musical collaboration in 2020, when the stillness of pandemic lockdowns offered the unexpected gift of time to play together. What started as a way to pass long hours at home quickly became something more. “It’s one of our favorite ways to hang out and have fun,” says Smith — and that spirit still drives their performances today.
Together, they form the heart of LEd and Company, a project rooted in the joy of making music with friends. Their sets weave through favorite covers — from the timeless melodies of Hank Williams to the soulful grooves of Jerry Garcia — all grounded in the rich textures of American roots music. Alongside these classics, they mix in their own originals: songs with groove, warmth, and plenty of heart.
Lesley Smith is a versatile songwriter, bassist, and vocalist whose musical path has spanned genres from alternative rock to world music and reggae. She released her debut solo album Waves in October 2024, showcasing her lyrical voice and rhythmic foundation. Edward Redonnet brings decades of experience as a dynamic guitarist, best known for his long-running work with The Equalites, a roots-rock-reggae band with deep New England roots dating back to the early '90s. His energetic playing style and love for improvisation make him a powerful musical partner. They hail from Central Massachusetts and Wellfleet.
